Meet Emily Schumacher, a Mankato native, influencer, and educator passionate about heart health. An emergency room technician and honors graduate in Biology, she aspires to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. Emily leads “The Heart of the Matter" initiative, committed to making an immediate difference in the medical field by combining her dedication to the Miss America Opportunity with providing CPR/AED instruction in the community.
